Our Team

You'll notice that the majority of our leadership has been with E-Nini-Hassee for decades. That's no accident. We love what we do here at camp, and we're passionate about giving our girls an environment where they can flourish.

Jo Lynn Smith

Director

Jo Lynn joined E-Nini-Hassee as a Youth Counselor in 1985, and later received her Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Emotional Disturbances from American University in Washington, DC. This natural born leader has been serving as our  director since 1994.

Deborah Richmond

Clinical Supervisor

Deb Richmond joined E-Nini-Hassee in December 1991. A Licensed Mental Health Counselor and recipient of the Social Worker of the Year Award from the National Association of Social Workers/Florida Chapter, Deb currently oversees E-Nini-Hassee’s Social and Clinical Services Department.

Chelsea Shackelford

Program Director

As Program Director, Chelsea is responsible for providing leadership to ensure integration of program, education and clinical services within the Outdoor Therapeutic Model at Eckerd Connects E-Nini-Hassee.  She is also responsible for overseeing the thematic approach and the program’s overall therapeutic milieu.

Raquel Saavedra

Director of Referral Development

Raquel Saavedra, MS is the Director of Referral Development.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from DePaul University and a master’s degree in Health Systems Management from Rush University.  Raquel has been working in the field of mental health since 2004.

Gale Wire

Principal

Gale has 25+ years experience working directly with at-risk girls, having joined E-Nini-Hassee as a Youth Counselor in 1988. Over the years, she has held a variety of progressively responsible leadership positions at E-Nini-Hassee to include Master Counselor, Assistant Director and School Principal & Education Coordinator

Shannon Ferraro

Assistant Director

As assistant director, Shannon is responsible for providing leadership to E-Nini-Hassee’s therapeutic and activity programming including  intramurals, arts and crafts, fitness, off-campus field trips and community service projects. Additionally, she provides technical assistance to maintaining the program’s overall therapeutic milieu.

Tina Ogden

Admissions Coordinator

 

A licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), Tina has more than 12 years experience working with families in crisis and troubled youth. Prior to joining E-Nini-Hassee, she worked in family counseling with the Seminole Tribe of Florida for nearly a decade.
