Eckerd Connects' E-Nini-Hassee outdoor therapeutic school for girls in Floral City, Florida, is a 70 capacity residential facility that provides academic and behavioral treatment through a combination of fully-accredited education, therapeutic outdoor adventures, primarily group counseling and individual counseling, as needed. Youth live in rural, outdoor settings in small groups of 10-12 with well trained and caring counselors.
The Counselor/Teacher at our outdoor therapeutic program for teenage girls is a positive, supportive role model who guides and influences group activities on a consistent basis that enhances the youth's confidence and self-esteem. Counselor/Teachers are the front-line staff facilitating and ensuring each youth’s therapeutic and educational progress. The Counselor/Teacher will be responsible for delivering evidence-based practices per training, participating in implementation of outdoor education modules (e.g. canoe trips, backpack trips, ropes course, fine arts, etc.), and impacting the lives of young women by encouraging and fostering change.
